This is a combination used in the GRAN-T-MTC Phase I clinical trial for patients with progressive or metastatic medullary thyroid cancer. [111In]In-CP04 is a cholecystokinin-2 receptor (CCK2R)-seeking radioligand with theranostic potential. Gelofusine, a 4% succinylated gelatin solution, is used as a nephroprotective agent that reduced kidney radiation dose by 53% when used with [111In]In-CP04. Gelaspan is a similar colloidal plasma volume substitute containing succinylated gelatin in a balanced electrolyte solution.
